This month's calculations ended up spotlighting zip code 28208; with a vacancy of 8% and rent to price ratio of 13.8, this is definitely a zip code worth paying attention to!

What to watch in this zip code

There is a significant amount of investment and redevelopment happening throughout West Charlotte.

  • West Boulevard Corridor- The City of Charlotte has identified West Boulevard as a major opportunity corridor, with initiatives focused on housing, economic development, transportation, green space, and redevelopment. The city specifically identifies the Remount Road and Clanton Road intersections as potential dense urban nodes. (Charlotte Government)

  • 601 W. Summit Avenue- A current rezoning proposal at 601 W. Summit Ave. would allow up to 880 residential units, along with commercial, office, and hotel uses. The proposal is still pending, but it's another indication of the scale of redevelopment being considered in the area. (Charlotte Government)

  • Savona Mill + FreeMoreWest-The continued redevelopment around Savona Mill and the FreeMoreWest/Wesley Heights area is another piece of the long-term transformation of west Charlotte. Adaptive-reuse projects and new residential development are helping create a more urban, mixed-use environment close to Uptown. Wesley Heights is one of Charlotte's more desirable neighborhoods offering a mix of historic homes, new construction, and walkability.

  • Notable Location Attractions/Amenities- Freedom Park, The Charlotte Rail Trail, Optimist Hall, Uptown Access, lots of restaurants and bars!

This is a great area to watch for long term, short term, mid term, and co-living rentals as well as flips/brrrs ! Message us to get started!
